When Customer Service Manager, Clarissa, at Atlantic Eugene (EUG), Oregon asked her team what event they should promote for the month, Customer Service Representative, Jade, knew just what to do. Working with her team, Jade did some research and discovered it was soon to be National Picture Book Day. The team found no better way to celebrate the day than asking customers and employees to get involved in collecting needed items, including picture books, for the local children’s hospital in nearby Portland. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is rated one of the best children’s hospitals in the country and provides specialized services that can’t be found anywhere else.

Atlantic EUG teamed up with the Atlantic Portland (PDX) location to host their very own Atlantic inspired toy and donations drive in their lobbies for the hospital. With both Atlantic locations pulling together, employees and customers alike donated stuffed animals, Lego sets, picture books, Play Doh, and a plethora of other toys and needed items for the children. The teams delivered the donations in person and were able to completely fill the donation bin at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Atlantic is proud of our Northwest locations’ partnership to come together and create this initiative on their own. EUG and PDX’s collaboration and drive to help children receiving medical treatment in their community is an amazing testimony to the heart of Atlantic employees.
