Aviation's most meaningful near-term opportunity to reduce emissions is through widespread adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Atlantic is actively facilitating the rapid expansion of SAF and is working closely with our customers to deliver sustainable fuel solutions.
What is SAF? - SAF is jet fuel. It is refined using sustainable feedstock and waste resources, is compatible with existing jet engine systems as an equivalent 'drop-in' fuel and can provide up to an 80% reduction (per 'neat' or unblended gallon of SAF) in lifecycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared to conventional jet fuel.
Atlantic SAF Marketplace - Despite current geographic constraints of SAF, the Atlantic SAF Marketplace provides you with access to SAF across our entire network while keeping physical SAF close to the production facility, saving emissions associated with fuel transport. This transactional process is called Book & Claim.
We are excited to announce that Atlantic customers can now conveniently purchase 'Book & Claim' SAF at all U.S. locations! Additionally, physical molecule SAF is currently being delivered to Atlantic ASE, LAX, LGB, SCK, and TRM!
