Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Visits Atlantic

Atlantic CRQ recently had the pleasure of hosting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad for an aviation learning experience they are sure to remember. There were 25 aspiring aviators between the ages of 6 -10 that enjoyed touring our CRQ location, as well as, having a meet and greet with locally based aviators.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Carlsbad has a mission to inspire their community’s young people to be great by offering educational, enriching, and fun experiences in a safe environment. Atlantic CRQ was able to give these kids the opportunity to learn what is achievable in the aviation industry through hard work and dedication. There were 3 aircraft on display in their hangar for the group to admire and learn about, including a BK117 helicopter, a Cessna 441 Conquest, and an L-39 Albatross. The locally based aviators were available to talk about their experiences and answer lots of questions.
Before the memory filled experience was over, they each also had the chance to sit inside the BK117 and take pictures to remember this fun day. Atlantic CRQ staff was just as excited to share their love for aviation with this group of their community’s youth and hope to have many more opportunities in the future.
