Atlantic's commitment to our environment and our communities is strong and keeps growing each year. We foster a passion, as citizens of this Earth, to make sure we are doing our part to protect each other, our environment, and our future. We are proud to share some of our most recent initiatives in celebration of both Earth Day and World Environment Day.

SUN Protecting Earth
Our Hailey/Sun Valley, ID (SUN) team recently gathered a group of employees to head out to a local park and river to pick up trash. They collected a lot of trash including fast food wrappers and cups, and they felt good that they were able to help keep their park clean and safe for animals and children. Additionally, they sourced specific plants that encourage bee feeding and reproduction and planted them around their FBO facility. Not only did this help freshen the look of their building and landscape, but more importantly, it helped their local ecosystem.

PIT Protecting Earth
Located in Moon Township, Atlantic Pittsburgh, PA (PIT) was also very hands-on celebrating Earth Day at a local outdoor community event at Moon Park. This year's theme was 'Save the Monarchs' and focused on why the monarch butterfly is disappearing and how they are linked to milkweed plants. The PIT team set up a table and handed out butterfly shaped seed paper that was made of 100% recycled fibers and plant petals. Additionally, they also handed out seed packets for flowers that are butterfly attracting.

The team at Atlantic PWK, in Wheeling, IL, gathered two different groups that went out to a couple of local forest preserves to pick up trash. They didn't just get a little bit of trash, they ended up collecting eight bags of trash and removed four abandoned tires! The team really enjoyed their time together and couldn't help feeling very fulfilled to be making such a difference in their area. Even though this initiative was spurred because of Earth Day, they have decided to make this something they do on a regular basis moving forward.

There are many other things that our bases across the country did to celebrate with snacks, earthly information, and eco-friendly Atlantic swag. We are proud to be a company that celebrates our Earth and dedicates initiatives to protecting our environment and ecosystems.
