Atlantic Aviation Expanding Nashville Service to John C. Tune Airport (JWN)
Atlantic Aviation marked a significant milestone as the company secured the bid through the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s RFP process for a new leasehold at John C. Tune Airport® (JWN®). Located roughly eight miles west of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, JWN is one of Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s two premier assets focused on aviation access for Music City.
Atlantic announced formal plans for a new facility at the airport including an executive FBO terminal, community hangar capable of handling the largest business aviation aircraft in flight today, coupled with an attached office complex and a 70,000-gallon fuel farm. Atlantic’s new location at John C. Tune Airport expands the company’s presence in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, building on the success of its recently completed, highly advanced new facility at Nashville International Airport® (BNA®), which opened in June 2024.
In keeping with Atlantic’s commitment and leadership to minimize business aviation’s environmental impact, design and construction of the new facility at JWN will be focused on sustainability and include LEED features. The use of environmentally responsible materials and techniques aimed at minimizing construction waste is well aligned with the company’s broad sustainability approach. Groundbreaking for the new facility at JWN is anticipated to take place early next year.
“We are excited to welcome Atlantic Aviation to John C. Tune Airport, marking a new chapter in our commitment to providing world-class aviation services while integrating environmentally responsible practices,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “As Nashville continues to grow, this partnership strengthens our dedication to fostering economic development and delivering world-class facilities that support the needs of our aviation community. We look forward to collaborating with Atlantic Aviation, ensuring that JWN continues to meet the evolving needs of our growing business and general aviation community.”
“As a long-standing partner of the great city of Nashville, we possess a deep understanding of the unique environment and significant opportunities that come with being one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. as a place to live, work, and thrive,” said Jeff Foland, Atlantic Aviation’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are fully committed to supporting the essential role of the MNAA to develop and manage its airports to promote economic development.”
