Atlantic Aviation Expands into Kalispell, Montana - Big Sky Country
Atlantic Aviation has expanded its nationwide FBO network to 106 locations with the addition of its first in Montana at Glacier Park International Airport (GPI). Located in the heart of the Flathead Valley and serving as the gateway to Glacier National Park and northwest Montana’s year-round recreation, the Kalispell facility joins the Atlantic network through the acquisition of Glacier Jet Center, a trusted provider of aircraft services on the field for nearly five decades.
"We are extremely proud to now be operating in Montana," said Jeff Foland, Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Aviation. “Not only is it one of the most beautiful states in the nation, it’s also an extremely welcoming region for general and business aviation. Glacier Jet Center has superbly served Kalispell and the surrounding area for nearly 50 years – and created a legacy of strong relationships and dedicated personal service that is in perfect alignment with our values at Atlantic Aviation. We’re excited to continue this longstanding heritage as we integrate with our new team members at GPI, and in the local community.”
GPI’s proximity to legendary national parks, recreation facilities and wilderness areas, along with Kalispell’s regional economic development have made GPI one of the busiest and fastest growing airports in the state. Accordingly, the services available at Atlantic GPI will continue to include complete passenger and crew support, aircraft fueling, de-icing, and heated hangars – along with the availability of U.S. Customs on the field. In addition, Part 145 maintenance services will be available through Rocky Mountain Aircraft Services at GPI, which was also acquired by Atlantic Aviation.
“GPI is not only a gateway to Glacier National Park, but also home to the vibrant Whitefish community - a destination known for its hospitality, outdoor recreation, and strong sense of community and culture. We’re proud to bring Atlantic’s quality service offering to the Big Sky State and look forward to becoming a trusted partner to both aviators and the local community,” shares Bobby Femia, Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions of Atlantic Aviation.
Beginning September 1, day one of operations, Atlantic Awards benefits will be available to flight crews and the transition to Atlantic Aviation branding will commence on the existing FBO terminal, lobby, hangars, and fuel trucks. With a proven track record of safety, service, and operational excellence, the addition of Atlantic Aviation at Glacier Park International Airport marks an exciting new chapter for the airport and the community it serves.
"Glacier Park International Airport is pleased to welcome Atlantic Aviation to our airport community," said Rob Ratkowski, Airport Director of Glacier Park International Airport. "For years, Glacier Jet Center has done an excellent job providing first-class service to our general aviation customers. Atlantic Aviation is uniquely suited to continue that tradition, and we look forward to having them here."
In addition to the full range of aircraft services, Atlantic Aviation GPI will feature multiple heated hangars sized to accommodate GV and Global XRS aircraft, as well as multiple hangars to securely serve any sized aircraft. A fuel farm capable of storing 137,000 gallons of Jet-A and 24,000 gallons of 100LL Avgas is also included at the facility, along with an Avgas self-service fueling station.
